City of Medicine Hat: MCAF NEEDS TO GO!!

MCAF: Municipal Consent Access Fee, or “MUNICIPALLY CONCOCTED ARTIFICIAL FEE“

What is it? Implemented through previous Clugston Administrative Council to address a $23 million budget deficit at the time, it was part of past Council’s financially fit plans. Our Current council has chosen to ignore that this FEE should no longer exist on Hatters utility bills (so why is the city charging itself for city owned utility infrastructure and lands? There are no other utility companies in the Hat accessing these lands to justify charging Hatters this fee!) Simply a tax to gouge the Ratepayers even more! 

City of Medicine Hat: How about use $6 million of earnings on investment instead to make up this shortfall? 

Or how about cutting $6 million from the city budget instead?

This FEE is charged to Ratepayers for something that actually costs the city nothing!

It’s a FEE BECAUSE THEY CAN CHARGE YOU FEE!
